Food Works was looking for a website that provides a fresh and intuitive user experience as well as an easy to use content management system.

To meet Food Works goals, we set out to determine the technology stack and focused on choosing the best system for publishing their unique content. We opted for a headless content management system, as it would allow us to focus on the frontend and utilize an established administration panel. This greatly increased the time needed for setup, development, and ongoing content management and allows multiple content editors to collaborate seamlessly. Working closely with the team at Mighty Design, we reviewed the established copy deck to ensure our final technical solution met the needs of the overall content structure and varying content types.
This application was strategically created to be a simple lead generation tool that promotes the Food Works concept. Our friends at Mighty produced a design that is clean, modern and captivating. The imagery is large and engaging, and the colours are soft and complimentary. Various templates and layouts were compiled to produce dynamic pages that unify the experience and seamlessly interact with data to provide a clear navigational hierarchy. This gives the user the ability to journey through the site content quickly and aids in content consumption and time on site.
The core focus of this application was to create a website that is easy to manage and navigate, and while at the same time, is beautiful and promotes the Food Works story. We crafted a flexible content management system by integrating a headless CMS into a custom frontend. This allowed for rapid prototyping, a simpler development process and made a final product that could be expanded upon when needed. Of course, we also assured the final website matched with the provided design mockups down to the finest details. Finally, we tested every aspect of this application to ensure proper compliance, accessibility and ensured it rendered properly on all devices and breakpoints and that the content is fully editable so the Food Works team can manage content changes on the fly.
Analytics & Integrations
The Food Works application includes web-based page views and session tracking. We incorporated custom lead sources, goals and conversion tracking. Additionally, we integrated a third-party capture software to manage dynamic inputs. This ensures that the Food Works team has in-depth and meaningful data about their content, customers, and purveyors. In turn, this will give Food Works the ability to better market to specific audience segments and make data-driven product enhancements.
